Jade: There are many aspects to maintaining high grades that I will be discussing today. One of the most important aspects is reviewing the information that you learned. By reviewing the content, you strengthen your ability to recall the information. This can be very beneficial when it comes time to test on the material. Another vital part of maintaining high grades is building good study habits. Building good study habits can boost your confidence on the topic and can improve your overall performance. Some good study habits to build include: creating a study plan, minimizing your distractions, creating the perfect study environment, setting goals for each study session, and taking enough breaks.

The last part of maintaining high grades is improving your time management skills. The amount of work you have will only increase as you get older, so it’s important to learn how to manage your time efficiently to ensure you can complete everything on time. Some ways to improve your time management skills include creating a schedule, prioritizing your tasks, holding yourself accountable, taking regular breaks, and avoiding distractions. Remember you get what you work for, not what you wish for!!!
Ruby: Lack of organizational skills can lead to so much stress during school, stress that could be easily avoided if you take the time to think about what will help in the long run. If you often find yourself struggling to remember when assignments are due, try making a planner or adding due dates to an online calendar. If your problem is keeping up with physical assignments, find folders for each class or add dividers to your binder. The things that work for one person may not work for another, so it’s important that you take the time to understand your needs and try your best to cater to them.
Additionally, good mental health translates into success and those around you shape the way you think. So, if grades are truly a priority, it’s important to surround yourself with people who have similar values to you. Not everyone you call a friend needs to be caught up in their grade point average, but they should value their craft and encourage you to be the best student you can be. Avoid people who make you feel unloved or incapable. A good support system within school can lead to better grades and better outcomes overall.
In the end, everyone has their own way of keeping up with school, but these are some beneficial tips that any student can use in order to finish the 2022-2023 school year off strong.
