‘Tis the season of intoxicating pumpkin spice, Taylor Swift, infinity scarves and fingerless gloves. Get in the fall feels with these soft ‘n cozy accessories, guaranteed to make any outfit a fall outfit. Specifically designed for comfort and aesthetic, these gloves were made for you. Live, Laugh, Fingerless Gloves

Fingerless Glove Pattern + Materials

Materials Used

For these gloves, I used a soft, velvety yarn and an 8.0mm hook. While the type of yarn is optional, I would recommend using a yarn comfortable on the skin - hence the cozy yarn. You will also need a pair of scissors.

The Ribbing

Like any crochet pattern, you must begin with a slip knot.

Then chain as long as you want the ribbing to be.

Chain one and turn your work

Half double crochet into the the third chain (Throughout this pattern you will be crocheting into the BACK LOOPS ONLY)

Half double crochet all the way to the end

Chain two and flip your work - this must be done every time you start a new row (during ribbing)

Repeat until you are able to wrap the ribbing around your arm

To close, simply single crochet together

Turn your work inside out and you are ready to begin the hand portion of the glove

The Hand

If you are using a different colored yarn, now would be a good time to use it

Chain two (with the new color if your are using one) - Double crochet all the way around

Close the row with a slip stitch and chain two again

Continue another row of double crochet

The row should be able to reach up to the base your thumb - if it doesn’t do so add another row of double crochet ( or as many rows as necessary )

Close the row with a slip stitch

The Thumb Hole

To make the thumb hole, continue from where you left off - the previous step

Chain around your thumb

And slip stitch to connect it to the glove

The Hand…Again

Immediately after the slip stitch, double crochet around (inside the chains used for the thumb hole)

Continue the rows until you reach your knuckles

TIP: If you feel your glove has become loose, simply perform a decrease stitch for some of your stitches, this will tighten the glove.

I did one extra row of single crochet with the same color I used for the ribbing - this step is optional but recommended

The End

This concludes the end of the Fingerless Gloves pattern

Now you are ready to enjoy an overrated pumpkin spice latte and watch the satisfyingly, crunchy autumn leaves fall around you.
